The University of Embu Annual Career Week 2025, was officially opened on Tuesday, 4th February, 2025. The opening ceremony was presided over by the Principal Secretary, State Department for Higher Education and Research, Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala. In her opening remarks, the Principal Secretary underscored the need for collaboration between universities and industries in order to produce graduates who can drive innovation and organisational growth. She encouraged students to explore both formal employment and entrepreneurship paths. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi noted that education extends beyond academics; it is about preparing students for the ever evolving professional world. The VC also thanked the PS for honoring the invitation to be the Chief Guest despite her busy schedule. Other key speakers during the opening ceremony included; the Vice-Chancellor, Strathmore University, Prof. Vincent Ogutu, Lexo Energy Managing Director, Dr. Millcent Onyoni, Jacob's Ladder Africa CEO, Ms. Sellah Bogonko and Eng. Meshack Kidenda, a seasoned civil engineer.
